Listening suggestions.........

Mashups totally cool and fun to listen to.
http://www.mashuptown.com/

Podsafe music music that is safe to use on your podcasts or blogs and not worry about copyright payments. This stuff is as good, if not better than regular mainstream music. If you don't believe me, search for Blake Morgan and his rendition of Maybe I'm Amazed. It kicks Paul McCartney's ass............

The Wonderful Outdoors

I noticed a familiar smell today. I was walking the dogs down the road. I had promised Jeffery a nice long walk since it is his birthday today. And there it was, a smell that reminded me of the days when I first started hiking in the woods. I think it was around 1995. I bought the book; 13 greatest Hikes in WNY. I went to Hunter’s Creek and Rock City and others during the fall and winter. It was the beginning of my love affair with the Outdoors. There was one hike on the Whispering Pines trail I believe just outside of Holland when it began snowing those big fat snow flakes. It was so quiet and so beautiful. And that smell, the smell of a cool crisp autumn day in the woods; like being in the middle of a pumpkin! I had done many hikes, mostly alone. Then I took Jasper on a few when he was a puppy and basically just carried him in my puppy carrier. I remember taking him on a hike over on Gasport Road, and look at that, we ended up living a block away from that trail all last year. But those hiking trips soon turned into camping trips. And now look at me, I LIVE in the middle of that wonderful smell that I would pack up and drive to! I noticed a covered bridge at the bottom of my road. I will get pics of that on our next walk. Its going to be a great winter and I can’t wait till spring when I can start setting up my front porch with hanging flowers and window boxes and really comfy wicker furniture. We will sit out there on rainy days and sunny mornings. It will be a very tough decision to stay or go to the RV on the weekends. I will cross that bridge when I come to it! For now I am just going to enjoy looking out my windows and taking the boys for walks.

We Moved! (AGAIN)

Ok I think I have a moving issue, I just realized my little Jeffery is 2yrs old today and with him alone, we moved 3 times. And Jasper? Well, lets see, he is 4 and with him we moved 6 times.........
Any way, here is our new home in Albion NY. The perfect farm house surrounded by cornfields. We just LOVE it here. We have a big porch and you should see the faces on my little dogs when they run as hard as they can in the back yard. Jasper looks joyous trying to catch up to his brother Jeffery with the long legs. At night its DARK. But I am so completely at peace here. And look at that FABULOUS pantry!!! Yes we will be here for a long time. Its just heaven for us.

Come drive down my country road

to a place where you will feel you belong, where it feels like home. I am sure I will be baking or cooking something. The old Cyndie may have been the last one to leave Happy Hour but the now Cyndie finds pleasure in a new recipe in Real Simple magazine, or watching the birds at the bird feeder, walking the dogs in the fields and thanking God for my wonderful life!!! And you are always welcome to visit, drop by, drink some fresh in a glass................

My house on Phipps Rd!

Come on by and sit on the porch we will drink red wine and watch the corn grow.......

Note the beautiful curtains from my friend Katherine, she came over and we had some red wine and hung them, and peed our pants laughing when I showed her the screwdriver stuck in the wall, (in the closet) trying to pound a hole in the wall for my computer speaker wire. Thank God Jeffery came over the next day with his big drill........

Old things are New, New is best

Its Saturday morning, 7:52 am. The dogs have been fed and I made my coffee from my trusty camping coffee pot. Ok so I did it over a propane stove in the RV. So alot of things have changed since the old tent days with Jasper. But the very quiet and still morning, sitting outside having coffee is still the same. The birds, the breeze, the morning sun. All still the wonderful same.
Yes alot of things have changed and for the better I would think. Now I come to the same camp site every time, its always mine, so of course I leave stuff there to make things easier, like a big Trailer, a gas grill, my comfy outdoor chairs, clothes, food, etc. hahahahahaha. Yes it makes things VERY easy now to enjoy the outdoors. And now we have the fabulous Lake Ontario. To walk the beach and collect beach glass, to watch the sunsets and sunrises. Oh and one NEW chore has been added to my
camping experience that I never had to do before. Once a week I have to mow the lawn at my campsite. But it sure looks nice when its done. Oh and maybe I have added some little touches, like the flag, a garden, a fire pit and some very cool wind chimes. And I have the same neighbors all the time. I know them all by name. Its much nicer than strangers every week. We love our new seasonal campsite. So we don't sleep on an air mattress in a tent any more, where you can hear various animals scurrying about next to you with only a thin sheet of canvas between you and in the morning it has deflated and you can barely get yourself out of bed. Ok so I didn't bring my TV and laptop on my tent camp trips. DVDs and podcasts and even my yoga
video podcasts which I will do in a few minutes on this glorious morning. Oh I forgot to mention the shower, and all my hair products and blow dryers and flat irons all stay in one spot now. Don't have to carry the rather large supply of beauty products that transform me into a human being. I look alot lovelier on my camping weekends now. Hahahahahhaahah, not the sweaty no make up the hell with what my hair looks like the camp bathroom is too scuzzy to curl my hair look.
But some things are still the same, the reasons I am here. The sunset last night was so vividly extraordinary! Breath taking. And that happens every night. The sun rise and the quiet morning breeze with my camping coffee pot coffee. The coffee still tastes the same. The fresh air, and most of all. The camp fires are still the same. My favorite. After Dan the owner drops off my wood from the back-hoe bucket, I make my fire in the fire pit. It still smells the same, the marshmallows still burn the same. Ok so the smoke set off the smoke alarm in the RV once! But now I can sit and in the dark I can see other camp fires glowing in the dark around me too. I will always love my camp fires! Well, I gotta go now, its time to do my yoga now! And another cup of coffee! Then to walk the boys on the beach, our beach glass collection is growing rapidly!

Doggie Statue at the lake

This was hysterical!!! Walking the boys in the morning and wanted to get a pic of them by this funny dog statue. What we didn't know was that when you get near the statue its leg and tail wag and the dog barks. Scared the poop out of Jasper and Jeffery.
